I first discovered this beautiful location way back in 2007 while exploring the Flinders Ranges with Suzy. We returned later that evening and I captured a beautiful sunset over this rustic windmill.
So what happened to the photograph?
After a hard night's sleep in our tent an unfortunate set of circumstances unfolded the very next morning.
I had arrived at Razorback Lookout (Bunyeroo Valley) to shoot the sunrise and was unloading the film from the night before when I somehow managed to drop the roll with my left hand while still holding the end of the film with my right. It landed on the ground and completely unraveled. Within an instant my sunset photos from the night before were destroyed. I was not a happy camper!
Finally, 8 years later in 2015 I was able to return to the Flinders Ranges with a close friend and I made this location a high priority. A brief reconnaissance trip in the morning to make sure it was still there and then I returned later that day at sunset to capture this beautiful evening light across the ranges.
I definitely think it was worth the wait. |

For custom framed prints, Australia wide delivery generally takes 6-8 weeks and International delivery time takes 8-10 weeks.
