Located on the north coast of Tasmania, Table Cape Tulip Farm boasts fields full of beautiful, coloured tulips that come into bloom once every year - and only for a matter of weeks.
I had the privilege of visiting Tasmania in 2021 to run a couple of our popular photography tours, with participants visiting from across Australia. The tours went extremely well and afterwards I decided to spend another week or so exploring and shooting for myself.
I have travelled to Tasmania many times since I first picked up a camera nearly 20 years ago and have always wanted to shoot the beautiful Tulips. Unfortunately for one reason or another, I just never seemed to be in the area at the right time. Thankfully, I finally made it happen! I booked a motel for 3 nights very close to the tulip farm and was extremely grateful to obtain special permission from management to shoot the tulips at sunrise and sunset; outside of their normal trading hours.
The first few shoots were challenging with too much wind, cloud and rain around. Thankfully on the final morning of my stay the weather settled down. The sunrise wasn't particulary colourful but the soft early morning light that followed was just magic. I finally captured a photo of these beautiful tulips in all their glory! |

Print Information

For unframed prints and gallery wall stock (framed prints), Australia wide delivery takes 1-2 weeks and International delivery takes 2-3 weeks. For custom framed prints, Australia wide delivery generally takes 6-8 weeks and International delivery time takes 8-10 weeks.
